Neoprene Prints

I've been a little bit of a gypsy lately- living out of my suitcase and spending more time chasing planes, trains, and automobiles than anything else. This past Friday I made my way down to DC to celebrate one of my best friend's engagement. Although I could've used the rest, I wouldn't have missed it for the world and it actually gave me some additional energy by being able to catch up with friends and witness a couple that when you watch them from across the room, you know they are meant to be and will be together forever. It's truly refreshing.

Sorry for the brief sappy moment... Haha

For the engagement party I wore this neoprene Clover Canyon Printed Dress that I found on sale at Revolve Clothing. I love neoprene, which is essentially wet suit material. My sister makes fun of me when I wear neoprene and calls me Scuba Stephie (if you aren't catching the Big Daddy reference, please gain some culture and go watch it!) Since the print has a lot going on, I kept the jewelry simple and carried my go-to Tory Burch envelope clutch in orange and then for shoes I wore these amazing gold metal plated Steve Madden wedges that I got on sale at Lord & Taylor.

Throwback Tunic Top

It's important to not neglect your clothes from the past because - let's face it, if we did... we'd all be broke! For this simple casual Friday look I dug back in the archives and pulled out a T-bags Tunic Top to wear with simple light colored jeggings and flat Dolce Vita Sandals. T-bags was a go-to brand for me in college and I got a lot of comments on this retro-bright print when I wore it. I carried a LV Speedy Cruise Collection Print Bag from several years ago. This bag has been a summer staple for me for years but it is beginning to wilt a little hah. For my jewelry I wore my BCBGeneration FREE lime green Affirmation Bracelet, an MCM Pink Wrap Bracelet, and Badgley Mishka oversized ring. The MCM Pink Wrap Bracelet was actually from my desk fairy. I have this amazing designer/friend at work who happens to occasionally leave trinkets at my desk from events or designer shopping field trips and it always makes my day. Happy Friday Yall!

Leather Pleats and Pixelated Prints

I know you guys are probably so over me posting about leather - but I can't help my obsession. I love the way leather looks trendy and luxurious with a sexy twist. I found this amazing lamb leather pleated skirt from BCBG and was able to bag it 60% off (thank god). I love this skirt because you can take it a couple different directions.

For this outfit I tried to take it a date-night direction by wearing it with a full coverage shirt. The pixelated print is a sheer silk top from BCBG also. Here's another great BCBG print top - they are great for any occasion - both work and nights out. Ignore my untamed hair below

I accessorized the look with an oversized python Rebecca Minkoff Clutch. I found the same one on sale on Bluefly. I carry clutches almost every time I go out at night and this is my absolute favorite shape/silhouette. My favorite thing about this bag is that the hardware is actually black so you can wear it with both silver and gold jewelry.

You've probably noticed these wedges being featured in a few of my posts - I found them 2 years ago on Lulu's and then wore them out/beat the crap out of them so much that I searched the internet to find them so I could reorder them for this Spring/Summer. They are actually a brand I've never heard of - Yoki but they are the perfect mid-height and a great neutral color. Ever girl needs a go-to pair of wedges for summer right? The icing on the cake with this outfit were my Men's Tom Ford Sunnies that I used to hide the designer bags that I was sporting under my eyes

Monday Blues

Today's post is short and sweet which is fitting for a rainy Monday in NYC. I posted about these BCBG Max Azria wrap dresses before but this another example of how amazing they are for work. With multiple patterns that change out each season and a near identical fit to the DVF wrap dresses- why not? Why not - especially when they are half the price. Just like the DVF wrap dresses that I have, I find myself wearing them season after season because they really are timeless and SO EASY! I threw on this Spring print for work and popped it with these blue patent Pour La Victoire sling back pumps just to give the outfit something extra. I got the shoes at the Saks Shoe Sale. If you haven't taken advantage, I dream about this sale the way a 6 year old dreams about Santa coming on Christmas morning. Designer shoes 60% off?? Yes please!

Naughty n Nice Pastels

For Holiday 2012 the main color palette which brought about newness was dusty pastels. Seafoam, pale pink, lavender, and the list goes on. Of course the "naughty" side of the palette still featured the traditional neutral and metal tones being black, ivory, silver, and gold. With the weather being less than Spring-like, these pastels have made a great lead into brightening up your wardrobe with still wearing weather appropriate clothing. This BCBG Max Azria Pastel Leopard dress is a perfect example of this:

I paired the wrap dress with opaque tights and then Pour La Victoire Booties from Zappos

I love these BCBG wrap dresses for work because they are a very similar cut to DVF wrap dresses but half of the price. Here is a similar one from the Spring Collection that I love: BCBG

Since the pattern on this dress is so bold, I kept the accessories fairly simple with these pale pink Chanel Stud earrings

Here is a close up of the print. The yellow studded bracelet is Rebecca Minkoff
