Summer Send-Off
Summer is coming to a close and although I am super excited for Fashion
Week and a change in wardrobe, I know it will only be a matter of a
couple of months before I am wishing for summer back. With these last
few weeks, I'm trying to wear the things that you can't just add black
tights to and wear during Fall/Winter but the clothes that read true
summer. I wore this bright floral romper the other night for a date and
let's just say I liked my romper more hah (Oops). Is everyone getting in
their last weekend of white pants? Or are you like me and continue to
wear them as long as the weather allows it?

Summertime Romp
Although I do love rompers, they really can be hit or miss with whether
they are flattering or not and if they aren't, they tend to make women
look like overgrown babies. There are definitely different cut rompers
that are best for specific body types. This BCBGeneration romper is a
perfect summer lovin' outfit being that it's a fresh floral print. Dress
it down with a denim vest and flat sandals or make it a little fancier
with a pair of wedges, it works for multiple occasions :)
Details: Romper: BCBGeneration. Wedges: Steve Madden. Necklace: Rebecca Minkoff. Cuff Bracelet: C Wonder. Bag: R + J

Bendel Breakdown
Saturday I met up with my GBF (Gay Boyfriend) who works at the Henri
Bendels Flagship store on 5th ave. we grabbed an amazing lunch and then
searched the store for my favorite accessory picks. I have this theory
that when women die and go to heaven, it's really the Bergdorff Shoe
Department, but Bendels might be a close second since I'm accessory
obsessed. If you get easily overwhelmed, this is not the place for you
with the exception of maybe when the store first opens for the day. I
think it's comparable to how I imagine Santa's workshop to be. I
narrowed my favorite picks down to 7 items that if a budget didn't
exist, I would've walked out the door with:
This amazing ostrich embossed leather clutch in electric yellow is Henri Bendel branded $250
This Assad Mounser cuff speaks for itself. It looks like I am ready to go into fashion battle - $428
I found these dangling HB earrings on the 50% table and almost walked out with them before I came across...

The Miu Miu Purple and Pink Sunnies totally sang "Take Me Home Steph" and after I saw that the case for them was pink velvet, I couldn't help myself. I've become a little bit of a sunglass addict but they are just so practical and can totally change your look. I was lucky that this was the ONLY item that I walked out of the store with after my Bendel Breakdown :)

My second pick is this gorgeous HB silk square scarf from their Megan Hess Collection $148. In the picture below I tied it around my pastel yellow bag for a cute added touch
Ring Party! My GBF and I fell in love with these Erickson Beamon fluorescent rings $148 - $268
I have a special attachment to this Dazzling Blue and Black Auden necklace because the designer Stephen is a complete sweetheart and loves to become friends with all of his clients. Each one of his pieces are handmade so he even will collaborate to make specific pieces for a customer. He also did a collection with J Crew that got a huge reaction.

Snapbacks and Plaids Too
This grunge look might horrify some of you but I like to call this my
Britney Tribute/Redneck/White Trash Bash Look. I mentioned this a few
times but Sportswear is really big right now and continuing through Fall
2013. My company is selling baseball hats like crazy! This is one of
our baseballs that I'm obsessed with because
it's actually metallic straw which I have never seen before! It's a
great quick fix to a bad hair day and I'm loving looking at the fashion
blogs and seeing how different people are styling Baseball Hats in unexpected
ways. The way below is a little more predictable but I'll get there
eventually and take some risks with it. Here's the same hat at Free People in Pearl. The bronze is sold out.

Throwback Tunic Top
It's important to not neglect your clothes from the past because - let's face it, if we did... we'd all be broke! For this simple casual Friday look I dug back in the archives and pulled out a T-bags Tunic Top to wear with simple light colored jeggings and flat Dolce Vita Sandals. T-bags was a go-to brand for me in college and I got a lot of comments on this retro-bright print when I wore it. I carried a LV Speedy Cruise Collection Print Bag from several years ago. This bag has been a summer staple for me for years but it is beginning to wilt a little hah. For my jewelry I wore my BCBGeneration FREE lime green Affirmation Bracelet, an MCM Pink Wrap Bracelet, and Badgley Mishka oversized ring. The MCM Pink Wrap Bracelet was actually from my desk fairy. I have this amazing designer/friend at work who happens to occasionally leave trinkets at my desk from events or designer shopping field trips and it always makes my day. Happy Friday Yall!

Maxi Slits with a Bun on Top
As I mentioned in my last outfit post, high-low skirts were really big for Spring/Summer 2012 but I feel like that has evolved to the maxi skirt. I got this amazing shocking pink Jennifer Hope maxi skirt 60% off at BigDrop. Beyond the amazing color, I was drawn to this because of the slit on one side. There is a shorter skirt layer underneath to avoid any potential wardrobe malfunctions so that's a plus haha! The skirt is sold out now but here are some options from ASOS that I love: option1 option2 option3
I know the sockbun thing has been huge for a while now- but believe it or not I am terrible at hair styling so this is totally out of the box for me but I used an insert from Urban Outfitters- it's like the modern day bump-it!
I carried this adorable Rebecca Minkoff bright green crossbody bag with silver spike studs.
No big surprise here, I rocked my most recent Jen Hoodenpyle necklace purchase. I know, I'm an addict but I can't help myself. This one has amazing colors for Spring and Summer and the shape is so different from all the other ones I have!
Lastly I wore my Dolce Vita sandals. Every girl needs a pair- or three!
