This past weekend I visited my family in Northern VA/DC and had a jam
packed- planned to the minute weekend. I always giggle to myself when I
pack to go home because my style is so frightening to people in DC. I
feel like when I'm there people look at me like I'm Lady Gaga. I
normally pack and then go back and edit so I can be a little more
focused in my choices and less *out there*. I kinda do enjoy the shock value (a little)-
hence wearing a My Little Ponies T-shirt with Leather pants to the gun
range this weekend with my Dad and sister- but that's a different story.
Here's an outfit that I wore this weekend when I was pal-ing around/
recovering from a late night of dancing to a live band with Currently Coveting
Yep- I'm wearing the Spring update to my denim to leather Post. I have a
huge crush on these BCBGeneration WHITE leather to denim pants. The
concept is unheard of and I realllllly don't care about that stupid-ass
rule about white pants before Memorial Day. It's dumb. If the sun is
shining and you're feeling it~ wear it.
My sunglasses believe it or not are Juicy Couture. I think every girl
looks awesome in white aviators because they brighten up your face. They are from years ago but here is a page of affordable white aviator options. However my favorite ones will always be these Gucci ones
On top I'm wearing a BCBGeneration light chambray shirt (also referred to as jirt) with an Urban Outfitters Floral Graphic cut-off tank. The slits on the side go pretty
low so I wore a white tank underneath as well.
For the accessories I might have gone slightly overboard - but I'm okay
with it. The bag is a Rebecca Minkoff studded crossbody. I got this
years ago and I wear it a lot more than I ever would've imagined for the fact
that I'm a oversized-bag girl. No big shocker here I sported a BCBGeneration arm party with Affirmation Bracelets - I told you I wear these almost everyday. The ones for this
outfit say FREE and BLESSED :) And then my ring is from Max and Chloe. Here's another fun bright pink option from that site

The Jump Around
I've always thought that jumpsuits looked really chic but I assumed that you had to be "model skinny" in order to wear them. About a year ago my company was working on a project with Sears so I was on the website familiarizing myself with the product and came across this Kardashian Kollection for Sears jumpsuit. It was half off and I figured that this would be my best bet for a jumpsuit since the Kardashians are known for their curves and it was by no means breaking my budget. Although I NEVER pictured myself ever buying clothes from a place where you can also buy tires, it ended up being a good purchase. Just goes to show you that hidden gems are found in the most unexpected places. Although the jumpsuit is no longer available, here are some other options: Asos, Asos2, Lulus

I kept it simple with a couple gold bracelets: the Evil Eye bracelet is Jennifer Zeuner from South Moon Under and the Cuff is RJ Graziano from Neiman Marcus Last Call

Friday's Fashion Fix: Affirmation Nation
A staple that I add to almost every outfit I wear is some ARM CANDY. I love a
good arm party incorporating mixed metals and pop colors. My favorite
bracelets that I wear almost every day are BCBGeneration's affirmation
bracelets. The bands come in every color imaginable with hardware charms
that spell out cute words or phrases like- Tough<3 , Fearless,
Bella, Boss, Sweet<3 , Blessed, and the list goes on and on. The metal
charms come in gold, rose gold, silver, and hematite and the bands are
available in multiple widths. The best part of these conversational
accessories is that they are completely affordable! The bracelets range
from $12-$24 making these great gift add-ons. See below for some of the
arm parties that I've made with some of the Affirmation Bracelets I own.
The girls of BCBGeneration even made a "NANA" custom Affirmation Bracelet for my
Nana's 94th which she loved. You can find these on their BCBGeneration website but if you want to see them in person you can find them in almost any department store and if you live in NYC Lord&Taylor has the biggest assortment to choose from
